Cobia grows fast. It can reach to 1-foot long from egg in four months. Afterward, it continues to grow and reaches to 8kg by the end of its first year. Cobia is the good and potential species to breed due to its fast growth, ease of handling and tolerance of variable environmental conditions. Now it is also the major breeding species cultured in ocean cages in Taiwan.
